Last Chance to get Tuba Hero T-Shirt
T-Shirt Hell have announced that they will be pulling the Band Geek section from their website in a week so if you have been procrastinating now is the time to act. You don’t want to miss out on the chance to wear Triangle Hero t-shirt.
They say they are pulling them for good and maybe they are telling the truth but I doubt it. I have a feeling that the Band Geek T-Shirts will make a reappearance sometime in the future.
Tuba Hero T-Shirt Back at T-Shirt Hell
I guess these tees are back for the holidays and I imagine they sell pretty well. Once upon a time they had their own dedicated site but now they are a simple page on the main T-Shirt Hell website. Anyway, they are not a new idea and there are similar ideas all over the web but these are done really well so if you want a band geek hero t-shirt for yourself or want to get your holiday shopping out of the way early you might as well grab a couple of these while they are still for sale.

Torsopants Close their Doors

Torsopants is a sister site of the more crude T-Shirt Hell. It opened just this March, I believe. T-Shirt Hell is famous for its offensive t-shirts and I imagine the humor and imagery turned away as many people as it attracted so I surmised back in March that TorsoPants was an attempt to grab another market sector with tamer, less offensive tees. Anyway, I got an email the other day saying that it’s all over.
It is with great sadness that I announce, at the urging of Bilderberg, that I am closing the doors at TorsoPants.com at midnight December 23rd, 2008. I cannot get into complete details, but my higher masters have told me that my mission will be changing over the next few months and this is the first step in a series of movements I will make in my life to fulfill the prophecy that is Sunshine Megatron.
There seems to have been big changes in the T-Shirt Hell family recently too. I guess all is not well. As I have just mentioned, Torsopants is about to close its doors for good. I notice that BandGeekHero.com, a Torsopants spin-off focusing on Guitar Hero parodies, is also gone, with the domain redirecting to TorsoPants.com. I think it launched in July of this year. That’s a short life. And also Hell Jr. seems to have disappeared from the radar less than 3 months after its launch.

I have no idea what happened over there but if I had to guess I would say that the makers of Guitar Hero sued them for copyright infringement and they are selling off assets and streamlining their business in order to raise capital to pay. Just a wild guess though.
I don’t think TorsoPants really added anything to the t-shirt industry though and I imagine it will be quickly forgotten. The success of T-Shirt Hell will probably ensure that Torsopants won’t even remembered as a failed business idea.
Important: Also, I have been informed that any Torso Washingtons that are left unusedby December 23rd will be lost forever so if you have some you better get over there soon and don’t let them go to waste. Affiliates with Torso Pals will get paid on that date.
Band Geek Hero T-Shirts
Torsopants is a relatively new t-shirt store from the same people who gave you T-Shirt Hell. For those who don’t know, T-Shirt Hell is famed for its rude and crude selection of t-shirts. Some of them are very funny but some of them are just plain wrong. Earlier this year Torsopants was created in what I believe was an attempt by T-Shirt Hell to grab another market sector, the easily offended sector. It seems that one of their t-shirts was so popular, the tuba hero shirt, that it spawned a lot of requests for other instruments and TorsoPants decided to open a store dedicated to these t-shirts. And so came Band Geek Hero. For those who are not in the know, they are all Guitar Hero parodies.
And to kick off sales they are offering 25% off coupons for purchases of these shirts. You have to be a member to get this discount but joining is easy. Just by joining you also become eligible to win free t-shirts every week. You can’t lose really. This offer is good through July 20th so don’t waste time if you want to get one for a bargain.
Sale at Glennz Tees
Glen Jones AKA Glennz is a New Zealand designer whose work was often seen over at Threadless. He has submitted a huge amount of designs and many of them have become Threadless bestsellers. I think I have featured a couple on this blog already. He recently decided to open his own t-shirt store where he sells a great selection of unique t-shirts which often have a pop culture reference. A couple of examples below show that his work does actually rock. I believe his store is based in the US and the sale is from June 25-30 with all t-shirts at $13.95. Now is your chance to get one of these awesome tees at a bargain price.
Poll: Which is your favorite Guitar Hero T-Shirt?
Of course there are many Guitar Hero inspired t-shirts but here are three of my favorite and they are from three different t-shirt stores. Which is your favorite?
