Back the F:/ Up T-Shirt

What’s better than a cheap t-shirt? Yes, that’s right. A free t-shirt and that is exactly what you can get. By free of course we mean that you don’t have to pay money for it but really, everyone knows there is no such thing as a free t-shirt, err… lunch. Anyway. To get your hands on one of these pretty sweet (if you are into geek humor) t-shirts you have to do something for them, for Mozy, the t-shirt benefactors. What do you have to do? Read the suggestions below. Check out backthefup.net for more details.

  • Promotional - We’re giving you a free T-shirt. In return, all we want is a little exposure. If you make a video, put Mozy in it somehow. If you have a blog, write a post about how much you love Mozy. If you have a bajillion Facebook friends, tell them that we rock. If you have a cornfield, carve Mozy into it. You get the idea.
  • Entertaining - Like most people, we hate things that suck. Don’t expect to do some crappy, zero-effort idea and get a T-shirt. We will say no if we think you’re sandbagging, and if it’s really lame, we’ll put you in the hall of shame (anonymously, of course, but you’ll know.)
  • Completely Awesome - We’re leaving the proposal up to you so that you can choose to do the thing that you are the awesomest at. Get crazy. Do something amazing. And we guarantee that when you get your shirt and put it on, you’ll feel like you’re putting on sheer awesomeness. Because you are. And all your friends will be jealous.

Well, I got the t-shirt for promising to write this post and agreeing to add links to Mozy and Back the F:/ Up in the post. (It’s not my affiliate link. Not that there is anything wrong with that.) It seemed like a pretty good deal to me. Now, about the t-shirt itself. It is a jet black Gildan tee. 6 or 6.2 oz by the feel of it. It doesn’t look black in my photos but that is my fault. I like the joke. I think it would sell well in a geek t-shirt store but these are not for sale as far as I know. They are a promotional item to spread the news about Mozy’s back up system so you can expect some clear branding on the t-shirt. There is a url on the back and Mozy’s logo on the sleeve. I would complain about these things if the tee weren’t free.

T-Shirt Reference

Not that you really need a new t-shirt reference site as you can find tons of information here on the T-Shirt Review and what information you can’t find here you can ask in the forum, but there is a new dog in town. It is simply a t-shirt reference site called Tshirt  Reference. I’m not too sure what the final goal is but at the moment it seems more like a directory than a reference site but it is new so who knows what’s going to happen with it.

For those looking for some freebies though they are giving away 5 Threadless vouchers worth $25 each for the users who submit the most links. That’s pretty cool and a great way for them to build their directory quickly.

I have already submitted my blog and it was a pretty painless process. I did get one of those little Drupal errors but it didn’t seem to have any effect on my submission.

Free Nissan Cube T-Shirt

Nissan Cube Tee Shirts at Spreadhirt

I came across this offer this morning. Nissan Cube are giving away the first 500 t-shirts free from their new Spreadshirt store. I was almost certain that they would all have been gone but I tried it anyway and I was able to get my hands on a free tee. The problem came when I got to the shipping charges. UPS International Premium is $29.99 to Japan. Wow. And USPS International Economy is $12.99. I don’t mind paying $12.99 for a t-shirt but maybe not a Nissan Cube T-Shirt. I didn’t know that Spreadshirt international shipping was such a rip-off.

Anyway for those living in the US, it’s not a bad deal. All you have to pay for is shipping which is $4.99 I believe and you get to choose from a number of text t-shirts. I was going to choose “self interest, not that interesting”. Let us know if you get a free t-shirt.

Torso TedIt looks like the guys from T-Shirt Hell are trying to expand their market a little by including people who are not so easily offended. This new t-shirt store is called TorsoPants.com. On the left here is the face of TorsoPants - the inappropriately named Torso Ted. As you can see he is torso free. My belly button lint has more torso than this dude.

If you sign up as a free member of the Church of TorsoPants right now, they’ll drop $8 TorsoWashingtons in your account. They work just like cash towards anything you purchase on the new site. It’s a great way to get a discount on your first TorsoPants.com tee shirt. The web site is very similar to T-Shirt Hell but has more flash and therefore can take a bit of time to load. It is worth the wait though.

Below you can see a selection of t-shirts available at the store.
