Apparently it is Mickey Mouse’s 81st birthday today. I knew he was old but didn’t really know he was that old. Anyway. to celebrate Mickey’s 81st Zazzle is offering free shipping purchases of $35 or more as well as 30% off Disney gifts! And there are a lot of Disney products on Zazzle and they are priced well and from my own experience with Zazzle they are top-notch too. With that in mind, it is probably a good idea to get some Christmas shopping out of the way and save money at the same time.

1. Bukowski at T-Post – OK, so this tee is no longer for sale but I think it is the perfect start to a list of alternative Mickey Mouse T-Shirts.

Britney Spears Mickey Mouse Club Tee

Britney Spears Mickey Mouse Club T-ShirtBritney Spears Mickey Mouse Club t-shirt, along with other celeb memorabilia, is going under the virtual hammer at gottahaverockandroll.com. It has been worn by the pop diva herself and signed, I believe, my the other Mickey Mouse Club members. I think I can see Britney’s signature on the right sleave and Christina Aguilera’s on the left. So, whether you are some type of pervert who hopes to be able to sniff something that Britney has worn, a crazy Disney fan or just have more money than sense here is your chance to get your hands on one expensive t-shirt. It seems you can expect to pay from $15,000 to $18,000. That’s a lot of gas. Probably not so much at next years prices though.

Miley Cyrus Photo Scandal

Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana

Everybody has probably heard about what’s going on with this girl Miley Cyrus by now. She recently posed for world renowned celeb photographer Annie Liebovitz and that picture was published in Vanity Fair. The picture was apparently too raunchy for some peoples tastes and it seemed that Miley Cyrus’s career at Disney might come to an end abruptly. I have a few things to say about this situation. For one, the picture is what it is. A young girl with a sheet covering most of her body. To be honest I am more disturbed by pictures of teens in swimsuits than by this picture. It’s not even a sexy pose. Judge for yourself below. I also don’t believe her career was ever in jeopardy as from what I hear she is a big money earner for Disney. Exceptions are made when billions of dollars are in the equation.

A part of the fuss can be attributable to the fact that Miley Cyrus and her alter-ego Hannah Montana is a big role model for young girls and her actions may affect them in some way. But really, the picture was in Vanity Fair, not even on the cover. How many young girls buy Vanity Fair? If the adults who were so upset about this image just kept their mouths shut then the kiddies wouldn’t have known about it. But now it is national news and even I am talking about it in a t-shirt blog.

I recently read that she was embarrassed by the photo. I sincerely doubt it though because there is nothing to be embarrassed about. I’m sure that is just her PR person, or a Disney PR person trying to get over this little hiccup and move on. Anyway, I am 30 something male living in Japan and to be honest I may not have seen her picture until this news came out but I reckon the young model in the pictures below (modeling Hannah Montana t-shirts from Zazzle) is the type of fan she has and she is also posing. And also like Miley Cyrus, she is just a young girl.
