Electronic Bongo T-Shirt
I have posted about battery operated t-shirts a few times now and this is not even the first time that I have posted about a functioning drum t-shirt. This time it’s a bongo drum kit with four different bongo sounds. The shirt is ugly, the design badly placed and it is pretty much just a stupid gimmick that you could only wear once or twice unless you wanted to come off as a total douche but whatever. Ships from Australia and costs … who cares? You’re not really going to buy it anyway. It needs four triple A batteries to run.
Specs
Hit the bongo designs on the front of this T-shirt and they’ll actually play sounds through a built-in speaker. Each bongo plays a different note so that different complex rhythms can be played.
Made from high quality 100% cotton, Electronic Bongo Drum T-Shirts are washable as the small battery pack that powers the drum sounds can easily be removed.
Requires 4 x AAA batteries (not included).
Hug T-Shirt and Ecstasy
I know I am a bit late on board here but I just came across the hug t-shirt which allows you to send/receive electronic hugs to your friends. I know, I don’t really know what that means either so I checked out their web site which had a little bit too much information for this time in the morning so I googled it and came across this youtube video. The reporter is wild and I think she may have tricked the Hug t-shirt representative into promoting ecstasy use.
Here is a blurb from the CuteCircuit website:
The Hug Shirt™ is a shirt that makes people send hugs over distance! Embedded in the shirt there are sensors that feel the strength of the touch, the skin warmth and the heartbeat rate of the sender and actuators that recreate the sensation of touch, warmth and emotion of the hug to the shirt of the distant loved one.
The t-shirt doesn’t appear to be for sale yet and I can’t even tell you how much it would cost. And another thing I’d like to add is that if the girl is as fine as this one I don’t think some electronic long distance Bluetooth enabled hug wouldn’t cut it for me.

"The Hug Shirt™ is not meant to replace human contact"

Personal Soundtrack T-Shirt
I often thought that it would be nice to have a soundtrack. I guess the idea sprang from watching too many movies and getting my first Walkman. A Walkman (ipod for cassettes for those who are too young to remember) is like a soundtrack except only you can hear it. Also it isn’t that easy to change the tracks. I wanted something more. Music that followed me and reflected my mood at every turn. Like in some Hollywood movies. Well, ThinkGeek have come up with something that is not really close to that dream but it is a bit of fun. They have produced a soundtrack shirt that is basically a t-shirt with a speaker that can play music from its own player or other devices if you connnect them.

I think the tee is stylish enough even though I don’t think I’d wear a speaker on my chest. It is quite a fun idea though and I know its a bit late but it would make a great gift at this time of the year. Below is a video that I guess the guys at ThinkGeek put together to promote the t-shirt.
ThinkGeek do come up with some interesting t-shirts such as a chain mail t-shirt and an Electronic Drum Kit t-shirt. The T-Shirt Review also recently talked about a musical shirt tutorial. I wonder what’s next!
They cost $39.99 (batteries not included).

Wearable Toy Piano from instructables
Not so long ago I posted about a drum t-shirt that was sold by ThinkGeek.com but this one really takes the biscuit. You won’t find this shirt at Think Geek though. You have to go over to instructables to read a tutorial on how they are made and if you still want one you will need the following (and you mind seen to):
-Toy piano (batteries included)
-T-shirt
-conductive fabric
-conductive thread
-normal thread
-neoprene (or normal thick fabric)
-fusible interface (iron on)
-3mm foam sheet
-ink jet iron on paper
-poppers
-electronic wireTool:
-needle
-scissors
-iron
-hammer
-soldering iron
-ink jet printer
-screw driver
I’m afraid the sound quality of the video is really poor but you don’t need to have sound to appreciate how dumb this shirt looks. I don’t really know who would want to either make this or wear it but it takes all sorts.
Potentially Irritating T-Shirts
If you are one of those people who get irritated by people who love drumming on everything you are totally going to hate this t-shirt. This t-shirt’s design hides a functional battery operated drum kit so those finger drummers can get more range. The drum kit has seven distinct drums that are all playable. This is sold by ThinkGeek T-Shirts and makes me think that it is finally time to change their name to BeBigGeek.com. It costs $29.99, batteries not included. Below you can check out a video of it in action.
Even if I was a drumming fanatic I’m not sure I would want to have a battery operated t-shirt. And from someone who has put his own passport in the washing machine twice I don’t know how long this t-shirt would last.
