Cafepress have expanded their line once more with their priciest item yet – a digital camcorder. When I first saw it this morning CrunchGear I didn't have time to read the article and I just assumed it was just the cover they were selling but no, they are allowing us shopkeepers to sell these items with a base price of $169 in our stores. Of course the first thing I thought of was that the volume bonus would be nice but it is not eligible.

To be honest I had never heard of Flip Mino before and didn't think I would be all that interested as I can record some video on my mobile phone and the quality is decent but after checking out the Flip Video web site I have to admit to being impressed. It does seem to make things very simple with regards to putting your video onto your hard drive, sending it as an email attachment or uploading to youtube.

It's good to see Cafepress coming out with something new too after Zazzle came out with the double whammy of skateboards and Keds shoes not so long ago. I think also that Cafepress are realizing that bigger is better and are displaying our products much larger than before. It has thrown quite a few of my product pages out of wack though but I am sure that they will iron out the wrinkles soon enough. They have also added a sleek new Browse More Products panel to our products page and to make it even better they have given us the ability to show or hide it. Thanks Cafepress. I love choices and I choose to show this baby. Learn more.

Win a Flip Mino at Cafepress

Oh, and I forgot to mention that to celebrate the tie up between Flip Video and Cafepress Cafepress are holding a design contest where you can actually win a Flip Mino only if you are a resident of the United States though. Boo!

Here is another thing that I didn't even think about. That's what happens when you post while tired. Anyway, Cafepress sent me an email explaining why the Flip Mina won't be included in the affiliate program. The good news is though they are working on it.

Today, CafePress announced a branded partnership with Pure Digital Technologies, makers of the Flip Mino Video Camera. We're very excited about this new product and believe the Flip Video Camera will help CafePress reach a completely new customer set. Unfortunately, because the Flip Video Camera is a fulfillment item as defined in the Affiliate Terms and Conditions, at this time affiliates will not be eligible to earn commission on referred sales of the Flip Video Camera. We understand this is a missed opportunity for affiliates and we hope we’ll be able to make the Flip Video Camera eligible for affiliate sale as soon as possible. In the meantime, please understand we’re working to build a program to allow CafePress Affiliates to market and sell the Flip Video Camera.

Thanks for your understanding on this important issue. If you have any questions regarding the Flip or the CafePress Affiliate Program, please feel free to contact me directly.
