I Love Waterloo is an Argentina-based (I believe) t-shirt store that sell some really great tees for a select number of movies. According to their About Us page they wanted to make the t-shirts that didn’t exist for their favorite bands and movies. I do wonder is they asked permission though. Anyway they are having a sale until October 24th with very few tees getting the 60% discount and a lot of tees with a smaller discount. Anyway, check it out and you might find something you like.

Dark Knight in the Election Campaign

Anonymous LA-based artist has painted McCain and Palin as Two Face and the Joker and is selling them on Cafepress t-shirts. The artwork is excellent whether or not you agree with the message but I wouldn’t wear such a hideous image on my chest. It is for a good cause though.

The artist is currently selling these designs on a variety of products through Cafepress.com. Because he has seen the homeless and the animal communities suffer so much during the last 8 years, proceeds from the sales will be given to two local non-profit groups that help the homeless and animals.  (Read more at indybay.org.)

Giant List of Star Wars T-Shirts

This list got much longer than I had expected. I started off quite a while ago just bookmarking Star Wars parody t-shirts when I came across them and just before I was about to write this post I decided to check to see if I had missed any good ones and discovered that I had. I also discovered a similar post at Tcritic and admit to grabbing some of those t-shirts too. This seems like a pretty comprehensive list of Star Wars spoof t-shirts but I know there are many more out there so if you know of any just add a link in the comment section and I will update this post if the design is suitable.

Star Wars Election Center

It is election year and that means that a large no. of election and political t-shirts are being sold. Zazzle along with Star Wars are taking advantage of this fact by putting together a great collection of spoof election gear for Star Wars characters. To be honest I was never a big Star Wars fan, probably one of the few of my generation but these t-shirts are very cool and they are sure to be a hit. If you are going to buy one I’d say buy them now so you can say you were one of the first.

I think that it’s great that this company has decided to go the spoof route because I think that the Star Wars t-shirts that were originally on sale at Zazzle are really only aimed at kids or fanboys. People of all ages would wear these. My favorite so far is the Chewbacca t-shirt but as you can see below the designs are pretty simple vector like images with two to four colors. I have to wonder if they are screen prints.

Transformers T-Shirts Banned from Airplanes?

Our friends over at Zazzlr brought brought this incident to our attention. It seems that 30 year old, Brad Jayakody, an IT professional was told to change out of his “gun-arm” toting Transformers T-Shirt or he wouldn’t be allowed board the plane. (See original article) Furthermore if he changed back into it he was told he would be arrested. How ridiculous! As he wondered himself, did they think he was going to going to try pass off the image of Optimus Prime’s gun arm on his t-shirt as a real gun? You would think that the security staff have better things to spend their time on.

Anyway, below are a couple of very cool Transformer’s T-Shirts but if you purchase them be sure not to wear them when flying.

The Big Lebowski T-Shirts

I have to admit that The Big Lebowski is one of my favorite movies. It is one of those movies that I can watch over and over. I can even watch parts of it and still enjoy it. So I decided to get a collection of Lebowski t-shirts together. The first two are from Zazzle and while there are many versions of Little Lebowski Urban Achiever T-Shirts floating around this one is quite fun. The second is a great spoof of a Leonardo DaVinci sketch although I wonder if DaVinci would have been amused.

I love this picture of the Jesus (not to be confused with Christ) licking the bowling ball. Jesus played by John Turturro was one of the greatest characters in the movie. The second is of course John Goodman who played one of his more menacing roles and still managed to be funny.

The first t-shirt here is a crude one from Deez Teez. Needs no explanation and last but certainly not least is a zombie version of the Big Lebowski crew humorously entitled Dawn of the Dude. You can find it and some other great shirts over at Go Ape Shirts.

Walk Hard T-Shirts

Walk Hard is a parody on movies such as The Doors and the recent Walk the Line, starring John C. Reilly and Jenna Fischer. Sony have announced the release of DVDs with bonus scenes and what not which I am sure will add a few more laughs to an already funny movie. Here is a famous clip of the on screen couple singling the innuendo-laden song - Let’s Duet. Below you can also find some Walk Hard parody t-shirts from Rude Retro available at Zazzle.

Flint Tropics Jackie Moon Semi Pro Jersey T-shirt
Fans of Will Ferrell will love these Semi-Pro t-shirts and jerseys. Semi-Pro is Ferrell’s most recent foray into the world of sports movies. While this movie hasn’t received either critical or commercial acclaim it will surely be a cult classic so now is the time to get your hands on one of these shiny new Flint Tropics jerseys. That way, by the time it is a cult classic you will have a well worn vintage Flint Tropic jersey. There are also tee shirts for cheap skates.

Here is the blurb from the beWild.com store where they can be found.
Flint Tropics T-Shirt only $13.99 at Bewild.comThis Flint tropics t-shirt is inspired from the Movie Semi Pro. Will Ferrell stars in Semi-Pro, a comedy set in 1976 against the backdrop of the maverick ABA?a fast-paced, wild and crazy basketball league that rivaled the NBA and made a name for itself with innovations like the three-point shot and slam dunk contest. Ferrell plays Jackie Moon, a one-hit wonder who used the profits from the success of his chart-topping song “Love Me Sexy” to achieve his dream of owning a basketball team. But Moon?s franchise, the Flint Tropics from Flint, Michigan, are the worst team in the league and in danger of folding when the ABA announces its plans to merge with the NBA. If they want to survive and make it to the NBA, Jackie and the Tropics must now do the seemingly impossible? Win.

“I drink your milkshake” is the famous line from There Will Be Blood starring Daniel Day Lewis in an Oscar winning performance. I mean who are we kidding. There were definitely going to be a few t-shirts and a few parodies. Here are a couple of shirts from Zazzle.
