Poll: Should Zazzle censor Obama Psalm 109:8 T-Shirt
Zazzle have just announced they won’t be allowing users to sell goods connecting President Barack Obama to Psalm 109:8. Here is an excerpt from their announcement:
after great thought that we have determined that these products, in the context of the full text of Psalm 109, may be interpreted in such a way as to suggest physical harm to the President of the United States. In deference to the Office of the President of the United States, and in accordance with federal law prohibiting the making of threats against the physical wellbeing of the President of the United States, Zazzle has therefore determined that these products are in violation of the Zazzle User Agreement and not appropriate for inclusion in the Zazzle Marketplace. We have begun efforts to remove them from our website, and we will be vigilant to the publication of similar products moving forward.

Whoever created the t-shirt displaying Psalms 109:8 which translates to “his days being fewer and another take his office… let his children be fatherless…..and his wife a widow” APPLY THIS TO YOUR SELF…… HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF SOMEONE SAID THAT ABOUT YOUR FAMILY……. COMMENTS, ACTIONS AND STATEMENTS LIKE THESE SHOW YOUR IGNORANCE…… AND YOUR RACISM AND ANTIQUATED THOUGHTS AND IDEAS. FOR SOMEONE TO WISH THIS UPON ANYBODY BETTER BEWARE…. Its not an indication of intelligence, it just lets you know that i am smarter and superior to anyone who thinks like that. my head is fine and not for nothing, i know who I am I don’t have to follow a phony pied piper.
It doesn’t let me know that you are smarter or superior etc. It lets me know that you think you are.
Let me explain why I think you are not only not intelligent but not educated either. First of all you ask a question to which an intelligent person could have figured out the answer without asking and then after I push you in the right direction you say that you are “smart enough to understand without any help”. (Think about it…yes, you needed my help to understand.)
Then you state that you are a conservative to try let me know that you are “smarter and superior…” etc. even though you agree that having a particular leaning is not an indication of intelligence.
As for the education posit, that was an easy deduction. You somehow think that “your” is spelled “you’r”.
OK, I’ll stop publicly judging you now. Let’s get back to the topic at hand: Psalm 109:8. Forget about all your preconceived notions and ideas for a second and answer me this. Couldn’t it be possible that the sentence in question (Let his days be few.) be referring to the amount of time spent on this earth? I know that if you continue reading the Psalm that is in fact what it means but as a stand-alone phrase don’t you think that this phrase could be interpreted as a prayer for the death of whoever it is directed at?

Now besides hoping he gets impeached and someone else take over his job, please show me where this phrase refers to the amount of time spent on this earth, and if anyone be interprets this as a prayer for the death of whoever it is directed at, the person who thinks like that is an idiot, someone who is intepreting it the way they want to and not reading it how it is really written, good try. the people who are up in arms about this are nothing but losers. You didn’t hear them crying when there was a movie made that showed the asasination of George Bush, but say a word of criticism about Obama they go beserk. One more think looking at the anti Bush t shirts, how come you have one that reads,

I’m curious why you think this site has double standards because I am pretty sure that nowhere is it written that I think a design calling for the assassination of President Bush is ok. Perhaps you don’t really understand the phrase “double standards”?
